She has a decade-long experience in complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and liver transplant surgeries. After her medical schooling at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, she trained and worked in premier institutes like PGIMER, Chandigarh and AIIMS, New Delhi gaining her MS and MCh degrees. Also, having trained in Robotic HBP surgeries from Royal Marsden Hospital, London, living donor liver transplantation from Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre, Chennai and peritoneal cancer surgery from Basingstoke, UK, she can operate on the entire spectrum of abdominal surgeries.She has wide experience in complex liver and pancreas surgeries for cancers, portal hypertension and benign conditions. She is an expert in transplantation liver, combined liver-kidney, paediatric liver and uncommon situations like machine perfusion, auxiliary transplantation, redo transplantation and DCD transplantation. Her special interest area is minimal access liver and pancreas surgery.She has been instrumental in starting a liver transplant programme at the public sector hospital in Bangalore.
