Dr Umesh is a senior consultant in the Department of Neurology and heads clinical services as well. He attended medical graduation from Bangalore University. Later obtained postgraduate MD certification as a physician from Karnataka, before moving to Mumbai, where he underwent residency training in Neurology at the Neurology Institute of Nair Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Umesh is recognized as the Best Neurologist in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, for his outstanding contributions to the field. In 1997, he was awarded as best outgoing Young Neurologist from Mumbai University. After completing a post-doctoral DM training in Neurology, he went ahead to complete DNB Neurology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Later he worked as a research fellow and published papers from the Neurology department of Bombay Hospital. Thereafter he moved to south India to start the Neurology department at a leading corporate hospital, Hyderabad. His original research work in Long-term outcomes in Myasthenia Gravis patients awarded him the finest clinician among his peers.He presented many papers at the National Neuroscientist Meet. He headed many clinical trials as principal investigator and conducted and organized regional Neurology meets. He has been a great teacher for Neurology residents as part of their residency programme. Recently he has been appointed as a teacher for MRCP residents as part of their residency programme
