Apart from being a University Gold medallist in masters of surgery examinations, he has many awards to his credit. He has served in the Army Medical Corps and got his training from leading institutions of our country and also from the UK, USA & Germany. He is a member of many national and international professional bodies and past president of the city chapter of the association of surgery India. He is National Board accredited teacher and postgraduate examiner. He is also an examiner for international MRCS exams
