Dr. Roopa Seshadri is a Senior Consultant in Neuro & Stroke Intervention and Endovascular Intervention/Surgery at Sakra, specializing as an Interventional Neuroradiologist. She does minimally invasive vascular interventions in the brain for stroke and brain bleeds. She is also experienced in minimally invasive vascular interventions in the body and limbs.After working for 4 years in Chennai, she returned to Mysore and joined JSS where she was the Stroke lead. She introduced complete stroke care for the first time in Mysuru at JSS and made JSS the first Stroke-ready hospital in Mysuru. She was highly successful in her endeavours of introducing IV thrombolysis, minimally invasive neurovascular interventions for stroke and brain bleeds, and their management.Her mentors in India have been Prof. A.K Gupta, Prof. Mathew Cherian, Prof. Santhosh Joseph, and Dr. Uday Limaye.She has rich and varied experience in minimally invasive vascular Neuro interventions and stroke, and also in body and peripheral interventions. She has won prizes at national and best presentation awards in the international arena.Her immediate past stint was at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta. She was a visiting consultant in the rest of the Fortis hospitals in Bangalore.She is well-known in this field nationally & internationally and has to her credited with many publications & International presentations
